Jack Cargas is Managing Director-Renewable Energy Finance at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this role, Cargas is responsible for the firm’s activities in the structured asset financing of wind power and solar power facilities, with a particular focus on tax equity.
Cargas has been involved in structured asset financing and equipment leasing for over sixteen years. He has led financings of over $12 billion of personal property assets, including wind, solar, geothermal, coal and gas-fired power generation facilities; commercial and corporate aircraft; construction equipment; manufacturing equipment; and rolling stock, including trains and double-decker buses. These financings have involved numerous jurisdictions in North America, Europe and Asia. Cargas has worked for Bank of America in Hong Kong and Tokyo and is now based in San Francisco
